Black and White
"When you photograph people in colour, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph them in black and white, you photograph their souls." - Ted Grant
When Artifact Uprising offered a free set of square prints a couple of weeks ago, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I have always been drawn to black and white photography, often articulating my desire to shoot in black and white film. You really have to focus on the subject and the framing of the photo. When shooting portraits, color often diverts attention away from the subject.
So, I decided to take photos of some of the people who give me life. These are some, not all, of the people who I see every day. These people are the some of those who challenge me, support me, and push me towards Christ.
Who gives you life? This is only 25 pictures of 25 people; I see and interact with significantly more people each and every day.
As always, I'd love to hang out sometime. Let me know if you want a cup of coffee - I'm always down!
